About 2 times a day an ad for Wordscapes comes on and I will sit there for up to 2 mins waiting for an x or an arrow to let me close the ad and let me see how many calories I burned but it never comes up, making me restart the app having no idea how many calories I burned. Allowing the user to control their rest days, or even just allow for more rest days, would make this app much more practical. Maybe the app could be improved by allowing the user to set the rest dates based on when the muscle soreness is at its worst? The rest days would sometimes occur on days I felt fine, but then the soreness would start the next day, and I’d have 3 days straight of working through the soreness with it getting worse everyday. I decided I’d pick it up again once it went away, but by the time it did go away I almost forgot about the app and had no desire to put myself in that much pain again. I wanted to keep up the habit so I started doing it despite the muscle soreness, but it just kept getting worse and it was just too painful after a few days. My core became significantly harder during that time too.īut with the schedule prescribed by the app, muscle soreness just kept accumulating over time since there was never enough time to recuperate. I could commit pretty well to the schedule, and it became just one more thing to do before bed. This app was really great for the first two weeks or so.
